What you get

A tunnel the other side can approve once.

  • An address that stays the same

    Give it to the other side once. It is fixed for the life of the gateway, so their firewall rules stay valid.

  • One address to allow

    Every service you attach reaches them from the same address. Adding or scaling services never means asking them to change anything.

  • One tunnel per partner

    Add a tunnel for each network you connect to, with their address, their subnets and a pre-shared key.

  • Choose what goes through it

    Turn on Route through the VPN for the services that need it. Nothing else is affected.

  • Match their settings

    Set encryption, key exchange groups and lifetimes to whatever the other side requires.

  • Billed per tunnel

    You pay for each tunnel while it is up, not for the size of the gateway.

How it works

  1. Create the gateway

    One per environment. The console shows its fixed public address.

  2. Send them your details

    Give them the gateway address and the subnet shown in the console. They give you their address, subnets and a pre-shared key.

  3. Add the tunnel and route services

    Add a tunnel with their details, turn on VPN routing for the services that need it, and deploy.

Billed per tunnel.

Each tunnel is billed per second while it is up. Traffic through it is billed at the usual rates.

Common questions

What do I give the other side?
The gateway's public address and the subnet shown under it in the console. That is all they need to allow.
Does the address change if I add services?
No. Every service you attach uses the same address, however many there are and however far they scale.
How many gateways can I have?
One per environment. Add a tunnel to it for each network you connect to.
What if I delete the gateway?
Its address is retired, not reused. A new gateway gets a new address, which the other side would need to allow.
