What you get

Storage that works with the tools you have.

  • Works with S3 tools

    The AWS SDKs, the aws CLI, rclone, mc and any other S3 client. Only the endpoint changes.

  • Keys for each bucket

    Every bucket has its own access key and secret. Make new ones at any time; the old ones stop working straight away.

  • Large files and direct uploads

    Multipart uploads and pre-signed URLs work as they do on S3, so a browser can upload straight to the bucket.

  • Browse in the console

    See what is stored, upload files, make folders, download, and delete one file or everything under a path.

  • Public read when you want it

    Buckets are private. Turn on public read to let anyone download without keys. Uploads always need keys.

  • Pay for what is stored

    There is no size to pick. You pay for the data in the bucket, measured through the month.

How it works

Connect in a few lines.

  1. Create a bucket

    Give it a name. The endpoint, region and keys appear in its Settings tab.

  2. Point your client at it

    Use the endpoint below instead of Amazon's, with the bucket's keys.

  3. Upload

    Use the SDK as you would with S3.

Common questions

Is my data private?
Yes, by default. Every request has to be signed with the bucket's keys until you turn on public read.
What happens when I make new keys?
The old keys stop working at once. Update anything that uses them first.
Should I host a website from a bucket?
Use a static site instead. It handles index pages, error pages and custom domains for you.
Why does my usage lag behind an upload?
Storage used is measured every so often, so a big upload can take a few minutes to show up.
